What a Week Kind of Looks Like...Sometimes

"If an expert says it can't be done, get another expert."

I am constantly amazed, amazed at the talent and creative spirit I see at art shows, farmer's markets, and gallery openings. The level of commitment to continually be engaged in a process that often is for the love of the process rather than for anything else.

Every weekend I participate in a couple of farmers markets, ( the winter season), and every weekend new, "stuff", has been imagined, maybe sketched or roughed out,  a process developed, the item made by hand, reworked, mistakes, and reworked, (maybe a few times),  finished and set out on a table or rack to be displayed and sold. This again, is every week...Monday  through Friday, we creatives hole up, listen to our favorite music, get into our groove, embrace our superstitions, throw the bones, read the cards, say the incantations, sprinkle the gris gris and  in my case pray to the jewelry gods and then embark on the journey of making something completely different than what was made last week...Yowza...what a ride!!...welcome to my world!

So, this was what I did last week...

Sourced material:
Attended the Dance Palace Holiday Fair in Pt. Reyes Station:

And I built a lot of these:
And a bunch more...and I loved every single minute of it! I am truly blessed.
Thank you for supporting artists like me. Safe travels, and most of all, make it an adventure!
Be sure and check out the store, some great jewelry just in time for...well...you know what...
