"Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home"
Here is a yesterday afternoon.
I was driving into Palm Springs about 6pm, and realized more than ever, capital T, Travel is an enormous part of my world these days.
That being said, what is your take on traveling? Do you travel much and where is your favorite destination? Bashos' quote, says, "home", what exactly does home mean to you?
I've mostly had studios in, next to or within walking distance of my home. So home to me conjures up a small space with a giant studio to build things, make things happen, play, experiment, collect stuff, I'll maybe never use in my lifetime, but mostly my studio allows me to dream, completely uninhibited, free to create in my mind how my world looks today, next week, a thousand years from now...
There is an enormous relationship to the studio and the work being produced in that studio, much like hands that fit well together. The materials all align, the light is perfect, the music inspiring and in the end the good stuff emerges.
Here are a couple of really beautiful pieces that emerged from my studio this week.
Earrings made from the edge of a 1960's silver plated tray.
Earrings made from a 1950's Aluminum tray.
Oval earrings made from a vintage 1950's aluminum tray.
and the last of yesterday's views.
I hope your week is terrific, and if you are in Palm Springs tonite, stop by and say hello. I'll be at the VillageFest fro 5-10 pm...booth 108...
