"I didn't come this far to only come this far"
I've taught a lot people, a bunch of stuff... I was a karate instructor for many years, I've taught outdoor painting, abstract painting, non-objective painting and currently I teach jewelry making. Lately, a ritual has appeared when teaching a new student or group of students jewelry making. We all stand up and I ask them to rub their stomach and pat their head. First the right hand on the head, then the left. We do this a couple of times, and it quickly shows dexterity, dominant hand and coordination.
Do it many times and the process becomes much less difficult, check this out...Jewelry making is all about the details, and often the details that clog one's mind when trying to operate the non dominant hand with any skill.... So in essence, the creative mind is all about the details...now don't confuse thinking about details with overthinking....
I was on a walk the other afternoon along this beautiful creek and realized, what really made the whole thing beautiful was all of the small details...I just had to pay closer attention to them...and I did finally...this is what I saw...

These aren't that much different than what it takes to make a ring or a bracelet,(this is the jeweler that sparked my interest in jewelry making) . They each are different yet very unique to what they do, what they provide and how the landscape/piece of jewelry comes out...without one, the piece can still be made but maybe is missing some of the really juicy, rich stuff that just might make it incredible....
